1. Could you tell us your name and your job title?  

 Hi! I'm Annie and I am the Project Assistant.

2. Could you tell us about your background (i.e., past education / jobs)?  

I am from the U.S. and got my bachelor’s degree in law from the University at Buffalo (US). I moved to the UK in 2021 and completed a master’s degree in human Rights at the University of York. I fell in love with the city of York and decided to stay! My education made me passionate about creating equitable opportunities within our communities, and that’s what led me to Inspiring Choices.

3. What is your favourite part of your job? 

 I really enjoy the creative aspect of my role, such as creating social media posts and branding of resources. I truly enjoy working on such a supportive and passionate team!

4. What one piece of advice would you give to someone looking at their future education 

There is no singular path to success and happiness, always keep an open mind!

5. What is your favourite film or book 

 My favourite film is ‘Thelma and Louise’ I find the portrayal of female friendship and the breaking down gender stereotypes incredibly inspirational.

6. If you were an animal, what type of animal do you think you’d be 

I’d like to be a mountain goat, much like myself, they love eating plants and wandering around the mountains!
