1. Job Title

Abbie Salkeld, Outreach Coordinator

2. Background

For the past three years I have attended Lancaster University, where I have studied an undergraduate degree in English language and Creative Writing. Whilst in education, I have also worked as a waitress, a school volunteer and a Christmas elf.

3. What are you most looking forward to in this role?

I am most looking forward to visiting schools, colleges and sixth forms to meet with lots of different students.

4. What one piece of advice would you give to someone looking at their future education

When deciding what to do next, in education, it is always best to keep your options open. Talking to other people who have already experienced future education can also be very useful.

5. What is your favourite film or book

My favourite book is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. However, I also love a good crime drama.

6. If you were an animal, what type of animal do you think you’d be

If I was an animal, I would be a bee, because I like to keep busy and be around other people.
